Technology is changing what airports, ground transportation providers, and the traveling public want in ground transportation options. At this meeting, AGTA will be exploring new technologies to monitor and manage airport curb congestion, taking into account the impact of the airport curb user modal shift towards TNCs and less towards shared ride, parking, and rental car shuttles. These curb utilization changes could make current airport operations obsolete as congestion and changing priorities are taking place.

New technologies for ground transportation service providers, such as passenger apps and prepaid ticketless usage, will be presented at the conference. AGTA will also review the latest software and services available to both traditional parking and growing valet parking operations.

Smaller breakout sessions will engage delegates in discussions involving important issues for ground transportation operations and airports. While a moderator is assigned for each breakout, each delegate is encouraged to relate how these things are operated or administered at their airport and/or operations. The objective of these roundtable discussions is to learn from each other’s successes and mistakes. These joint airport and operator workshops will expand upon topics addressed in the opening sessions.
